Tournament Rules and Guidelines
To register for a tournament, you need to:
- Create an account on NexusTournaments or sign in if you already have one to participate in CS2, TF2, and Rust tournaments
- Navigate to the Tournaments page and select the tournament you want to join
- Click on the "Register Now" button on the tournament details page
- If you're registering as a team, you'll need to either create a new team or select your existing team
- Accept the tournament rules and complete the registration process
Registration deadlines vary for each tournament, so make sure to register before the cutoff date. Some tournaments may also have entry fees or specific requirements, which will be clearly stated on the tournament page.
Team size requirements vary depending on the specific tournament format:
- Standard Tournaments: Most of our tournaments require teams of 5 active players with up to 2 substitutes (alternates).
- Duo Tournaments: These specialized tournaments require teams of 2 players only.
- Solo Tournaments: Individual competitions where you compete on your own.
- Clan Wars: Larger tournaments that can accommodate teams of up to 8 active players with 3 substitutes.
Teams must maintain the minimum required number of players throughout the tournament. If a team falls below the minimum due to disconnections or other issues, they may face penalties or disqualification. The specific team size will always be clearly stated on the tournament details page.
Each tournament has specific rules about weapons and items, but here are the general guidelines:
- Standard Tournaments: For Rust tournaments, all vanilla Rust weapons and items are typically allowed unless specifically prohibited in the rules. For CS2 and TF2, see each game page for allowed items.
- Restricted Items: Some tournaments may restrict certain powerful weapons or items like rocket launchers, C4, or heavy armor to promote balanced gameplay.
- Modded Servers: Tournaments on modded servers may have custom weapons or items with specific usage rules detailed in the tournament guidelines.
- Exploits and Glitches: Using any exploits, glitches, or unintended mechanics to gain advantages is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification.
Tournament organizers reserve the right to ban specific items or add restrictions during the tournament if balance issues arise. Always review the specific tournament rules before competing.
